The Sphynx breed is the product of a natural variation in the world of cats. It is the first registered hairless cat breed in the world about a century ago. As a matter of fact, the Sphynx is not totally hairless and there are different levels of hairlessness. 

In general, there is some short hair on the nose, ear, toes, and tail. However, seasonal and hormonal changes can affect the development of the hair. Instead of fur, the Sphynx has a suede-like coat that keeps them warm. In addition, the skin is loose causing some extra wrinkles that you can clearly see on the cat. They love chilling and cuddling in cold weather and you will find them very talkative like they have an opinion about everything going on.
